Former multi-division champion and UFC commentator Daniel Cormier has drawn parallels between Arman Tsarukyan's altercation with a fan at UFC 300 and the infamous incident between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Artem Lobov in 2018.
Ahead of his title fight at UFC 223, Nurmagomedov had crossed paths with Lobov at the hotel where he cornered 'The Russian Hammer' and proceeded to slap him.
Cormier recently spoke to Tsarukyan for a video on his YouTube channel. 'DC' brought up the Nurmagomedov-Lobov incident and compared it with the altercation Tsarukyan had with a fan at UFC 300.
"You remember when Khabib grabbed [Artem Lobov]... He grabbed this guy by the face, he slapped the guy because [Khabib] thinks the guy talks too much. [To Tsarukyan] and you, you punched a fan. A lot of like similarities in terms of y'all's minds."

Tsarukyan was matched up to fight Charles Oliveira on the main card of UFC 300. The historic event took place on April 13 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
During his walkout to the octagon, a fan flipped off the 27-year-old which resulted in Tsarukyan taking a swing at him.
'Akhalkalakets' went on to fight Oliveira for the entirety of the 15-minute fight. In the end, Tsarukyan was declared the winner by split decision. The three judges scored the bout 28-29, 29-28 and 29-28 in favor of the 27-year-old.
Arman Tsarukyan speaks about Khabib Nurmagomedov's role in Islam Makhachev becoming a UFC champion
Arman Tsarukyan believes that Khabib Nurmagomedov's influence might have played a role in Islam Makhachev getting a title shot and then becoming the champion.
In a conversation with Sports Express, Tsarukyan compared his UFC resume with that of the current champion and claimed that the Dagestani's association with Nurmagomedov helped his UFC career. He said:
"My opposition is better than [Islam's]. Look, who did Islam beat from the top 15 to fight for the title? Bobby Green wasn't even in the top 15. He beat [Dan] Hooker in the top 15 and... [Drew Dober] was never in the top 10. We must not forget who is behind Islam and who is behind me. If Khabib had pushed me, I would have fought for the title after [defeating Beneil] Dariush."
