Sinsamut Klinmee will make his third appearance under the ONE Championship banner on Friday night as the promotion returns to Malaysia for its third Amazon Prime Video offering. Meeting him will be reigning ONE lightweight kickboxing world champion Regian ‘The Immortal’ Eersel.
However, it won’t be Eersel’s kickboxing title on the line. The two strikers will compete in the art of eight limbs to crown the promotion’s first lightweight Muay Thai world champion, giving both fighters the opportunity to make history in U.S. primetime.
In just two fights, Klinmee has already established himself as one of the most exciting fighters to watch inside the circle. Asked by reporters at the ONE virtual media day event if he felt he'd earned that designation, ‘Aquaman’ said it’s up to the fans to decide:
“I can’t personally say that. I would like the fans to watch and see, they can be the judge if they think I’m the most entertaining fighter in ONE Championship. For me I like to fight, I would give everything into the fight. I would like to fight as entertaining as possible.”

With knockouts over striking standouts Nieky Holzken and Liam Nolan, Sinsamut Klinmee is quick to make a case for himself.
Earning back-to-back performance bonuses in his first two outings, ‘Aquaman’ will look to line his pockets once again with cold hard cash and ONE Championship gold.
Sinsamut Klinmee looks to make a statement against Regian Eersel
Sinsamut Klinmee has an incredible 80 career wins under his belt, but getting a win at ONE on Prime Video 3 will be the biggest of all should he pull off an upset on Friday night.
Competing for a ONE world championship is a dream come true for Klinmee. It's also one that will allow him to continue the legacy of elite combat sports athletes in his family.
Ready to make the most of his opportunity, Sinsamut Klinmee is walking into the U.S. primetime spotlight with a knockout on his mind:
“In this upcoming bout, I need to be better than Regian and I am ready for the fight... Every fight is important to me. Whenever I fight, I fight to be the winner. This upcoming fight is important to me as we are fighting for the ONE lightweight Muay Thai world title belt, and I wish to knock him out in the second round.”
It’ll be easier said than done against Eersel, a ONE titleholder with an undefeated record of 7-0 inside the circle and the confidence one would expect from a world champion.
Will Eersel make history and become a two-sport champion or will ‘Aquaman’ score the upset in his third outing? We'll find out soon enough.
