“They don't have concentration” - Chingiz Allazov talks about the one quality Thai fighters lack

Belarusian kickboxer Chingiz Allazov likes the style of Thai fighters but thinks they lack concentration. It is something he will look to exploit in his upcoming title fight later this week.

‘Chinga’ vies for the ONE featherweight kickboxing world title when he takes on reigning world champion Superbon Singha Mawynn in the headlining fight at ONE Fight Night 6 on January 13 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The event is the first show for ONE Championship in 2023 and is live and free for North American fans with an active Prime Video subscription in U.S. primetime.

Speaking to ONE Championship, 29-year-old Chingiz Allazov said Thai fighters pack the power but have the tendency to have their attention distracted during the course of matches which should work to his advantage when he faces hometown favorite Superbon:

“As I said before, I like the Thai style. I spoke to Sitthichai [Sitsongpeenong], another fighter from Thailand. They have power but they don't have concentration, unlike me.”

Chingiz Allazov swept his way through the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix to earn his shot against Superbon, who became the world champion in 2021.

His previous victory, which came in the World Grand Prix final, was over Sitthichai at ONE X in March last year by way of a unanimous decision. Allazov has an overall record of 3-1 in the promotion to date. Superbon, meanwhile, will make his second title defense at ONE Fight Night 6.

Chingiz Allazov is eager to finally step into the circle with Superbon

ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix winner Chingiz Allazov is aching to mix it up with world champion Superbon Singha Mawynn for the world title in what he considers the best kickboxing show there is right now.

Following his impressive showing in the World Grand Prix, which culminated in a unanimous decision victory over Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in the final, ‘Chinga’ asserts that it was time for the world to see him fight against Superbon at ONE Fight Night 6.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Chingiz Allazov said:

"In kickboxing, maybe it is the number one fight in the world now, really. A lot of people have been waiting for this fight. I stayed in Thailand and people say, 'Oh this is a really amazing fight, Chingiz.' This Superbon fight. I waited for this day, it's been a long time preparing for this fight, like I said before."

The Superbon-Allazov title clash will be the headliner at ONE Fight Night 6 on January 13 in Bangkok. The promotion's first live main event of the year is live and free for North American fans with an active Prime Video subscription in U.S. primetime. Both Chingiz Allazov and Superbon are on a roll and are hoping to emerge on top come fight night.
