Cuban wrestler Gustavo Balart is not afraid of anything that obstructs his path to glory, which include Jarred Brooks, his next opponent at the main event of ONE Fight Night 24.

The ONE interim strawweight MMA world title contender thinks that his pursuit of greatness emerged from the drive to provide a better life for his family back in Cuba, especially his wife and daughters.

Knowing that they are fully depending on him, Balart does not want to leave any stones unturned and gain the victory in Amazon card which goes live in U.S. primetime on Friday, August 2.

'El Gladiador' told ONE Championship in an interview during the fight week about his family:

"Of course I always think of my family and my daughters. They depend on what I do at that moment. They depend on my effort."

He added:

"During the fight when I am tired, during the difficult moments I think of them. I think of how important it is that I win the fight for them."

Moreover, this fight could be his biggest chance to challenge the reigning ONE strawweight MMA king Joshua Pacio, if he can take out Brooks with an impressive performance.

Gustavo Balart fully prepared to take on Jarred Brooks

No.3-ranked contender Gustavo Balart will lock horns with Jarred Brooks at the main event of ONE Fight Night 24, live in U.S. primetime from the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on August 2.

The former Olympic wrestler and the former ONE strawweight MMA king are set to clash for the interim ONE world title, where it would also secure an opportunity for a unification fight with the current divisional ruler Joshua Pacio.
