Dana White has often publicly shared his thoughts on a wide range of topics. He recently weighed in on the COVID-19 pandemic that swept the world in 2020, claiming that the disease was created in a laboratory for profit.
The UFC CEO recently spoke with Noah Kara on his podcast, 60 for 60 with Noah, stating:
"Everybody opened their eyes during COVID and saw what was really going on. [People] used to talk about conspiracy theories, [they are] f**king all true - like every one of them are true. They're all coming to light now... I don't think it was made up. COVID was definitely real, but it came out of a f**king lab and there's no doubt they were ready for it, they profited off it, gave everybody."
White continued:

"If you go back and look at these media people and what they were doing and saying to people, shaming people. I saw something on Instagram the other day where this woman basically knew exactly what the he** she was talking about, like [Joe] Rogan, during this thing, and these two guys were going after her so hard saying she should be ashamed of herself. They were talking about everybody who doesn't want to take the shot should be locked up and crazy s**t like that."

Dana White reveals that COVID helped the UFC's growth
Dana White has made it clear that COVID-19 was beneficial for the UFC from a business standpoint. He recently revealed the extent of the company's growth during the pandemic, when the promotion was the only live sport on television.
Speaking with Bloomberg, the UFC CEO stated:
"Going through COVID definitely didn’t hurt us. There were no sports on TV except for us. Fights that should have been doing 300,000 buys were doing a million. Our fan base grew something like 68 percent during COVID." [h/t MMA Fighting]
It is no surprise that the UFC saw a significant rise in viewership, with no other live sports on television. The company's growth is largely attributed to White's decision to continue operations despite much of the rest of the world shutting down.
