"They gotta start a podcast" - Fans react to Bryce Mitchell hitching a ride with "nice guy" Sean Strickland in his car

Bryce Mitchell recently caught a ride in Sean Strickland's vehicle. The UFC featherweight later posted footage from their meeting to his official Instagram handle. Fight fans soon weighed in on the two American MMA combatants' interaction.

'Thug Nasty' and Strickland are known to often make socio-political assertions on sensitive topics, which some deem as polarizing. Prominently, they've long been staunch critics of communism.

Mitchell filmed a video, wherein he suggested that he was "riding in style" in Strickland's car. The camera panned to the former UFC middleweight champion, who joked that they were in a Tesla and that Mitchell, who's a vocal critic of Tesla and its CEO Elon Musk, would lose his fan base.

Regardless, Mitchell asserted that he didn't care because he was with "the champ." Strickland, who's been campaigning for a title rematch against UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis, responded by showing off a handgun.

He and Mitchell also jested about their dislike for communists. The 145-pounder praised 'Tarzan' and said:

"Yeah. Sean's a nice guy, man ... Thanks for the ride, though, champ."

'Tarzan' notably made waves in 2023 when he suggested that Elon Musk's work for renewable energy solutions had won him over. To the surprise of some, Strickland does own a Tesla EV (Electric Vehicle).

When Sean Strickland waxed lyrical about patriot Bryce Mitchell

Bryce Mitchell hasn't competed since his knockout defeat against Josh Emmett last December. Nevertheless, he generated significant buzz earlier this year by vowing to home-school his son to prevent him from becoming "gay" or a "communist." Sean Strickland notably lent his support to Mitchell on Instagram.

Additionally, speaking to CBS Sports' Shakiel Mahjouri this past July, Strickland lightheartedly speculated that he could potentially start a no-holds-barred podcast with Mitchell and Jake Shields.

Furthermore, in April 2024, Sean Strickland piqued fan interest by linking up with Bryce Mitchell in person.
