Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka recently shared his take on Conor McGregor's soccer skills after 'The Notorious' was seen playing a friendly match with some locals in his home country of Ireland.

Outside of MMA, McGregor is a self-proclaimed soccer (football) super fan, having attended several matches throughout his career. He has previously stated he is a Manchester United fan and even once teased he was interested in buying the club while they were seeking new owners.

While there is still no news about McGregor's octagon return, the Irishman was recently seen keeping himself busy by playing in a friendly soccer match in the Irish capital. A host of clips of the 36-year-old have been doing the rounds on social media, with one even showing him accidentally kicking another player in the chest.

Following the clip of McGregor accidentally kicking an opposing player, Prochazka was asked about the Irishman's soccer skills during an interview with Nina-Marie Danielle ahead of UFC 311.

According to the Czech fighter, he's also found he has the same struggles as McGregor whenever he plays soccer, believing it's due to the difficulty of 'turning off' the fighter part of their brains. He explained:

"When I played [soccer] last time, I had little bit of the same problem [kicking players]. You have to try and change your mind for another game and I think he didn't do that. The other players, they are really scared. It's good [McGregor kicked someone]. They need to understand the true game of the man. Fighting."

Jiri Prochazka is confident UFC 311 will prove he's deserving of a trilogy bout against Alex Pereira

Jiri Prochazka is set to return to the octagon this weekend at UFC 311, where he will face a fellow former champion in Jamahal Hill. Their bout is expected to be a title eliminator, with the winner potentially going on to face the winner of Alex Pereira vs. Magomed Ankalaev, should that bout happen later this year.

Ahead of his bout against Hill, Prochazka spoke with MMA Junkie's Mike Bohn, where he was asked about the importance of putting on a good performance against Hill. According to the Czech 205-pounder, he truly expects to win the fight as he believes he is destined to face Pereira in a trilogy bout. He said:

"Everything what I say, what I'm saying, I mean seriously. So nothing special but I believe I made improvements of my style, in life. In everything that I can face Alex Pereira a third time. Sorry, I believe in that. I really believe that I can be the champion and I'm going for that, to be a champion again. No more words."
