Conor McGregor was reportedly one of the most drug tested UFC fighters of 2024 even though he never entered the cage during that time and the online MMA community is sounding off about this. A report regarding UFC anti doping information was shared via X account @AndyHickeyMMA which was comprised of findings from tests done on over 750 contracted fighters.
While the testing average was a reported 4.3 times throughout the calendar year, there were a few fighters that stood out from the pack as the most tested of 2024. That top distinction goes to Kayla Harrison who was tested 13 times while Conor McGregor and Arman Tsarukyan were tied for the number two spot with 11 tests being reportedly done by each combatant.
X users came out in droves to offer up their thoughts on these findings which were also relayed on the same social media platform by an account known as @SpinninBackfist.

Conor McGregor gets compared to Muhammad Ali by former coach of Mike Tyson
Conor McGregor recently was presented in a similar context to Muhammad Ali and one of the most respected figures in boxing was the one who made this utterance. Teddy Atlas is as well versed in the sweet science as anyone and has shown an ever growing affinity for mixed martial arts over the years.
Atlas showered this high praise on the 36-year-old by stating that he raised his sport of MMA to a different level of pay days for all athletes much like Ali did for payouts among boxers. The comparisons also continued with the ex-trainer of Mike Tyson also referencing that both McGregor and Ali have been involved in big crossover fights.
The bout in this context that Atlas referenced for Conor McGregor was the massive Floyd Mayweather boxing contest he participated in. The acclaimed Queensberry rules commentator also shouted out Ali's clash with Antonio Inoki which many historians regard as a proto-mixed martial arts contest several years before the birth of Shooto, pre-UFC 1, etc.
Atlas referred to 'The Notorious' as a pioneer in his sport and seemed to wonder if these rumors of a boxing bout against Logan Paul signal the end of his days as a serious high level fighter.
