Jonathan Haggerty is excited to tick off a career first heading into one of the biggest main events of the entire year.
'The General' is no stranger to being in the spotlight when he competes in Asia but ONE 168 is a whole new scenario.
On Sept. 6, he will be the last man to walk at the Ball Arena in Denver for his bantamweight Muay Thai world championship defense against Superlek.
In order to help with the final stages of his preparations, Haggerty has spent the last month of his camp out in Denver where he has been able to really experience the United States.

During a recent interview with the South China Morning Post, he spoke about how training and fighting overseas has been a great experience thus far:
"Yeah. It's great. It's great. We've been to a few gyms out here, they've been very welcoming. There are a lot of fans out here. There's a lot of support. I run past the arena and they've got, like, a big poster up of the fight, ONE 168, ONE Championship."
Haggerty added that after seeing the support that is out in Denver, he's looking to put on a show for all the fans in attendance at the Ball Arena on Sept. 6:
"It's exciting. I can't wait to give the fans an explosion of a fight, and look forward to seeing everyone."

Jonathan Haggerty always brings the action
Like his opponent Superlek, Jonathan Haggerty has already been a part of some of the biggest striking bouts in the history of ONE Championship.
His clashes with the likes of Rodtang and Nong-O have shown that he belongs at the elite level.
Meanwhile, Superlek has put together a very impressive winning streak with victories over the likes of Rodtang and Takeru Segawa.
To use Haggerty's own words, the fans can expect to see an explosion once the strikes start flying in the main event on September 6.
