ONE Championship has steadily built its roster of submission grappling athletes over the past few years, which is why promotional newcomer Dante Leon called on his contemporaries to make the leap.
In an interview with the world's largest martial arts promotion, Leon shared:
"This is the place where the best grapplers are. It's plain and simple. If you consider yourself to be the best grappler, or you want to be the best grappler, or you're striving to be the best grappler, this should be the place that you're trying to come to."
He added:

"You shouldn't be trying to go to other events where the best people aren't. If you look at the accolades and you look at the resumes of just the grapplers that are here on contract or committed to ONE, this is where all the best people are. It's nowhere else."
Leon got his first taste of competition under the ONE banner this past Friday, Dec. 6, at ONE Fight Night 26 when he took on Bruno Pucci in a lightweight submission grappling bout.
Showcasing his trademark athleticism, the Canadian only needed about two minutes to make 'Puccibull' tap out via triangle armbar.
Dante Leon impressed fans at ONE Fight Night 26
Dante Leon promised to give fans an unforgettable promotional debut at ONE Fight Night 26, and he did just that with his performance against an established veteran like Bruno Pucci.
Sprawling to defend Pucci's takedown attempt gave Leon ample time to plan his upcoming sequence of moves, culminating in him cinching in a hold that he called the 'Thunder Lock'.
But when the Brazilian did not submit, the Pedigo Submission Fighting affiliate abandoned it and worked towards the eventual triangle armbar finish.
