Joe Rogan recently commented on Francis Ngannou's return to MMA and expressed some concern that it could be a dangerous fight for the former UFC heavyweight.

Ngannou is set to make his first appearance in the PFL next month when he faces the heavyweight champion, Renan Ferreira. The pair will lock horns on Oct 19. on the first PFL Super Fights: Battle of the Giants card.

The bout also marks 'The Predator's first return to MMA since he defended the UFC heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane back in Jan. 2022.

After leaving the UFC and signing with the PFL, Ngannou has focused the last two years on a professional boxing career. He faced Tyson Fury in Oct. 2023 before then stepping into the squared circle against Anthony Joshua back in March.

Following a valiant performance against Fury, taking him to a split decision, the Cameroonian hoped to prove his doubters once again against Joshua. Unfortunately for the MMA star, however, he fell short as 'AJ' dominated the fight, knocking him down multiple times before finishing him in the second round.

Due to the manner of his defeat against Joshua, Rogan has voiced his concern over Ngannou's upcoming bout against Ferreira. The Brazilian has won his last four PFL bouts via knockout, which Rogan believes could spell danger for Ngannou.

Speaking on episode #163 of the JRE MMA Show, Rogan said:

"This guy [Ferreira] is good dude. This is a dangerous fight. After he [Ngannou] fights Joshua, that was a bad KO from one of the best knockout artists in boxing. [Ferreira] is f*cking dangerous."

Joe Rogan calls for weight-cutting in MMA to stop

Joe Rogan has once expressed his issues with weight-cutting, believing that fighters should compete at their natural weights instead of taking major risks by trying to drop the pounds.

On the latest episode of the JRE MMA Show, Rogan welcomed guests Din Thomas, John Rallo, and former UFC welterweight champion Matt Serra. The quartet then discussed a host of MMA topics, including the issues surrounding weight-cutting.

All four men agreed that something needs to be done about fighters cutting weight, with Rogan passionately stating he wants to see it removed from the sport. He said (1:48:15):

"You should find out where you f**king really weigh and fight at what you really weigh at. It shouldn't be the Ultimate Weight-Cutting Championship... [Not weight-cutting is better] for everything. Better for the longevity. Better for the health of your physical body that is literally your weapon of war."
