Alex Pereira and Sean Strickland began an unlikely friendship in 2023 that fans cannot get enough of. After training together in Las Vegas, the two associates ran into each other at a gas station in an interaction caught on camera by the UFC light heavyweight champion.
From a parked car outside of an unnamed gas station, Pereira recorded their humorous run-in as the two exchanged pleasantries. Their interaction ended with the Brazilian's signature phrase: "Chama."

As modern fans will generally eat up anything either Pereira or Strickland does, many reacted to the short video on social media positively. One fan compared the exchange to "a genuine GTA interaction."

Alex Pereira and Sean Strickland's friendship
Alex Pereira and Sean Strickland first crossed paths in the Octagon at UFC 276 in a middleweight title eliminator. Pereira won the fight by first-round knockout but it would surprisingly be just the beginning of their relationship as the two would later become friends.
Rumors of Pereira and Strickland training together started ahead of the latter's title fight against Israel Adesanya at UFC 293. Four months later, 'Poatan' cornered the new middleweight champion for his first title defense against Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 297.
The two have since trained together on several more occasions with Pereira visiting the Xtreme Couture gym whenever he is in Las Vegas.
