“This is her fight for the taking” - Lito Adiwang believes Denice Zamboanga will make history for the Philippines 

Lito Adiwang has no doubt that Denice Zamboanga will fulfill her destiny and become the Philippines' first-ever female MMA world champion.

The Filipino strawweight MMA contender fully supports his compatriot in the biggest fight of her life this coming Friday, Jan. 10 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Zamboanga will duke it out against Ukraine's Alyona Rassohyna, with the victor being crowned the interim atomweight MMA world champion in the first of two world title bouts at ONE Fight Night 27: Tang vs. Abdullaev on Prime Video.

In a report from ABS-CBN News, Adiwang confidently expressed his belief that 'The Menace' will get it done and bring pride and honor to their home country:

"She's got all the advantages in this fight for sure," he said. “And this is her fight for the taking."

After a 6-2 run in the world's largest martial arts organization, Denice Zamboanga's hard work and patience finally paid off as she's now an earshot from that coveted 26 pounds of gold.

However, Rassohyna simply won't hand her the gold on a silver platter. The 27-year-old star must bring her A-game and find a way to get past the fourth-ranked contender's elite grappling to realize her lifelong dream.

The road to a world title shot has been a rocky one for Denice Zamboanga. Injuries and unfortunate events out of her control have somehow delayed her path to gold.

Now, the TREX MMA representative is on the cusp of making history. As far as Adiwang is concerned, it couldn't have happened to a more deserving fighter.
