Reigning and undisputed ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty saw his star power rise with a third round technical knockout victory over recent opponent 'Demolition Man' Felipe Lobo.
Haggerty and Lobo locked horns at ONE Fight Night 19 last February, and it was undoubtedly 'The General's toughest test to date in ONE Championship.
After getting knocked down early in the fight, Haggerty came storming back to hurt Lobo and eventually finish him in round three. It was an absolute fight fan's dream to watch, and Haggerty says he gained so much more respect from fans after the showdown.
Speaking to Sky Sports MMA Club in a recent interview, Haggerty talked about the effect the Lobo win had on his career.

'The General' said:
"Yes, I’ve sort of noticed now. So people are used to me getting in there and basically demolishing people. I’m not being big headed, but getting in there knocking everyone out, and getting out unscathed. But this fight won over a larger audience, they like me now because I’ve been knocked down, I know how to get back up, I’ve shown heart, so I’m just glad I performed in that fight the way I did."
Needless to say, if you haven't watched this fight yet, catch a replay of it. You'll be glad you did.
