Fans recently expressed their thoughts on Magomed Ankalaev's bold claim about Alex Pereira. Pereira wouldn't be able to inflict any damage on him in a potential fight, according to Ankalaev, who is prepared to show that he is superior to the reigning champion.
Pereira successfully defended his UFC light heavyweight title against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 303. However, Ankalaev has continuously criticized the current champion on social media since he thinks he is the next serious contender for the belt. The Brazilian was previously challenged by the No. 2 ranked fighter for a stand-up fight, with the claim that he would be knocked out.
In a recent interview with Aslanbek Badaev, Magomed issued a strong warning to Pereira if a potential fight against him were to happen in the near future. He doubled down on his claims, saying:
''Many experts understand that I can easily beat Pereira... I think with his speed he won't touch me at all. The most he can do is hit me with a low kick...I think he won't touch me with his hands. I'm so confident in myself that I can even beat him standing up...I can guarantee this. I can fight him standing up untill the end if necessary. I want to beat him up. I just want to attack him, just show him that I'm better than him."

Alex Pereira responds to Magomed Ankalaev's knockout claims
Alex Pereira is already weighing his options for his return after retaining his light heavyweight title at UFC 303. Certain fans and MMA experts speculate that Magomed Ankalaev might be next to challenge Pereira and cause stylistic issues for the Brazilian.
Ankalaev previously challenged Pereira, claiming that the latter had been fighting contenders with no chin, also promising a stand-up fight.
Pereira recently posted a video on his YouTube channel and responded to Ankalaev's claims, saying:
"You guys saw, a lot of people trying to self-promote. Trying to belittle me, saying they will knock me out, finish me... but I'm training, evolving... I just started evolving now, that's the difference. [I was] able to go toe to toe with just kickboxing. Now I'm evolving, so each fight it's getting harder for them."
