The main event between Alex Pereira and Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 307 saw the two men battle it out for the UFC light heavyweight championship. Ultimately, 'Poatan' ended up securing the win via TKO in the fourth round.
Pereira's sharp jab was arguably his most effective tool on the night, and he used it to batter Rountree Jr.'s face. By the time the fourth round came along, Rountree Jr. had suffered some serious cuts to his face.
In the finishing sequence, Pereira launched a series of attacks on the American. One of his jabs caused Rountree Jr.'s face to spray blood. X user @homieblogger shared slo-mo footage of the jab, prompting a number of reactions from fans.

Chael Sonnen praises Alex Pereira's consistency
Following the events of UFC 307, Chael Sonnen spoke on the rise of Alex Pereira on his YouTube Channel. Sonnen praised 'Poatan's' recent activity and even went on to say that "we have never seen anything like it."
He further went on to emphasise Pereira's willingness to fight, and compared the light heavyweight king's situation to those of Conor McGregor and Jon Jones, who are, arguably, the biggest stars in the sport.
He said:
You can’t get these guys to make the walk. You can’t get Conor [McGregor] to make the walk. Jon [Jones] will go and sit out for three years, come back for one, sit another year and a half. You can’t get guys with money to wanna got to work. That’s all this guy wants to do, and he wants to do it against the absolute hardest guys that put him in the most danger most jeopardy. It’s really interesting, we’ve never seen anything quite like it.”
