Third-ranked strawweight MMA contender Gustavo Balart is ready for his moment.

After stringing together four straight wins on martial arts' biggest global stage, 'El Gladiador' will return to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, August 2 for a a shot at becoming the interim ONE strawweight MMA world champion.

Standing in his way will be Jarred Brooks, who knows a thing or two about what it takes to claim 26 pounds of gold inside the Circle.

During a recent appearance on SerEbro EnlosDeportes, Gustavo Balart expressed excitement over finally getting a shot at a ONE world title and believes ONE Fight Night 24 will be his moment to shine.

"Yes, I feel this is my moment," Balart said. "This is my moment. He was already a champion, he had his moment. And I 100 percent feel this way."

Coming off a big win over fourth-ranked contender Hiroba Minowa in his last outing, Gustavo Balart will face his toughest test yet against the Warsaw, Indiana native.

Jarred Brooks seeks redemption against Gustavo Balart after heartbreaking title loss

While Gustavo Balart will be looking to wrap gold around his waist for the very first time, Jarred Brooks or known to many as 'The Monkey God' is fighting to reclaim the crown he lost in a most unfortunate way.

Returning to the Circle at ONE 166 in Qatar to defend the undisputed strap against strawweight rival Joshua Pacio in a massive rematch, Brooks surrendered the belt less than 60 seconds into the scrap after inadvertently spiking 'The Passion' on the top of his head during a takedown attempt.

Though unintentional, the maneuver was an illegal one bringing an end to the bout and awarding Pacio both the victory and the title.

With a win over Balart inside the Mecca of Muay Thai, 'The Monkey God' could set the stage for a trilogy fight with Pacio, once the Filipino fan favorite is 100% and ready to go.
