Dustin Poirier has opened his 2025 by training with a fellow UFC lightweight, and not just any divisional colleague either. Poirier took the time to spar with the #10 ranked Renato Moicano, with the collaboration between the two top lightweights drawing the approval of fans.
The former interim lightweight champion took to Instagram with a post-training picture of the two of them, and it took little time before fans flocked to the comment section to praise them for working together, especially with Poirier's retirement fight expected to take place this year.
Moicano himself popped up in Poirier's comment section, thanking 'The Diamond' for the training session.

Poirier has been in the promotion since 2011, having competed in the featherweight and lightweight divisions, the latter of which saw Poirier challenge for the undisputed title thrice to no success. He did, however, manage to capture interim gold in a war with Max Holloway.
