“This piece of s*** needs to prove a point” - Jarred Brooks wants to silence Mansur Malachiev in potential showdown

Jarred Brooks and Mansur Malachiev never shared a card, let alone have a physical interaction, but a simmering feud between the two is close to boiling point.

Taking to Instagram, Brooks revealed that he and Malachiev have been jawing at each other on social media for almost a year.

Brooks posted a screen recording of his back-and-forth with Malachiev on Instagram's direct messaging line. He even shared a video of him running into ONE Championship Vice President Rich Franklin on a flight.

The video showed Brooks telling Franklin he would like to face Malachiev as soon as possible.

Jarred Brooks, the ONE interim strawweight MMA world champion, wrote:

"Over a year ago this fight could have happened and is now in fruition. Now that the dust has settled, this piece of s*** needs to prove a point and stop being a b@# and stop running 😂😂 Daddy's a regular here @mansur_malachiev_uf See you soon 😘 #onechampionship"

The pair's exchange was heated, to say the least, and Malachiev even proclaimed that he was the champion in one of his video messages to Brooks.

During their interaction, Malachiev said in a video message:

"You are a piece of s***. I'm the champion, I am."

Brooks has always been one of the best talkers in the ONE Championship roster, and the screen recording he posted showed a new side to Malachiev's otherwise icy and cool demeanor.

ONE Championship hasn't officially announced another matchup atop the strawweight MMA rankings. But, a matchup between Malachiev and Brooks is an interesting prospect.

Brooks, however, would first have to face strawweight MMA king Joshua Pacio for the undisputed ONE strawweight MMA world title.

Malachiev, meanwhile, is coming off a unanimous decision win over Bokang Masunyane at ONE Fight Night 25 this past weekend at Lumpinee Stadium.

Mansur Malachiev doesn't talk too much trash before or after fights, but those rare statements whenever he does talk smack cut a bit deeper than most.

In an interview with ONE Championship, the number five strawweight MMA contender said Jarred Brooks should be treated as the ONE strawweight MMA world champion, not Joshua Pacio.

Brooks is currently the ONE interim strawweight MMA world champion while current divisional king Pacio is out with a knee injury.

"I think Brooks is the real champion, not Pacio. That’s why I would like to fight him the most."
