MMA coach Javier Mendez recently took to his social media and posted a video of Nurmagomedov honing his boxing skills on a punching bag at the UFC PI. Mendez wrote in the caption:

Nurmagomedov retired from the sport unbeaten after a submission victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in 2020. During his time in the UFC, 'The Eagle' had a fierce rivalry with McGregor, which culminated with Nurmagomedov submitting the Irishman in the fourth round at UFC 229.

Nurmagomedov is currently preparing Islam Makhachev and Umar Nurmagomedov for their title fights at UFC 311 against Arman Tsarukyan and Merab Dvalishvili, respectively, and will be in their corner.

Khabib Nurmagomedov's coach isn't a fan of the potential Conor McGregor vs. Logan Paul bout

Khabib Nurmagomedov's MMA coach Javier Mendez recently expressed his thoughts on the reports of Conor McGregor facing Logan Paul next year in a boxing match.

Mendez said he isn't particularly interested in the McGregor vs. Paul fight, calling it dull in his YouTube podcast.

"Like that's going to be a bomb. His brother hasn't won a freaking boxing match. Give me a break ... How's that gonna go? What's Logan Paul's fight record? They should do WWE. They're great entertainers ... A real fight, it's no good...So when you don't take fighting serious, fighting doesn't produce the results you'd like."
