After Ryan Garcia recently appeared to announce his retirement from boxing, Devin Haney's father took to social media to float a 48-hour deadline for the announcement of 'KingRy's' drug violation suspension. Garcia tested positive for the banned substance Ostarine before and after his victory over Haney.
Despite many expecting Garcia to lose, the 25-year-old surprisingly defeated Haney in their boxing match on April 20. However, his victory was spoiled by his pre-fight and post-fight positive Ostarine test. His legal team blamed tainted supplements for the test result and firmly maintained his innocence.
Earlier this week, a Boxing Scene report revealed that the New York Commission will meet to decide Garcia's fate following his PED violations. In the wake of these developments and Garcia's recent arrest in Beverly Hills, the boxing star announced his retirement in an X post.

Soon after, Haney Sr. took to Instagram and fired some warning shots at Garcia. Stating that the commission would announce their punishment for his PED violations in 48 hours, Haney Sr. said:
"Everybody's been protecting him... You seem to celebrate guys on drugs in the ring but you're running out of time. In 48 hours, your boy, Ryan Garcia, will be suspended."
After Haney Sr.'s post got uploaded, fans soon flocked to the comments section to express their thoughts. Many were fed up with the Haneys and slammed them for not accepting the loss.
One fan pointed out:
"This is a soap opera at this point. Goddamn, I ain't know an L was that bad."
Another user wrote:
"Still crying? That's crazy. Real ni**as take L. Just take the L, bro."
