Reigning and undisputed ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty of the United Kingdom has been in some incredible wars in the world's largest martial arts organization.
But there is no fight more exciting than his first encounter with Thai megastar 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
Haggerty and Rodtang first locked horns at ONE: Dawn of Heroes in August of 2019. Then the flyweight Muay Thai king, Haggerty would welcome Rodtang's challenge.
Unfortunately, 'The Iron Man' proved too much of a test for 'The General', and Haggerty eventually fell by unanimous decision, surrendering his belt in the process.

In a recent YouTube video uploaded on his official channel called 'Retrospect with Jonathan Haggerty', the English superstar looked back on his first meeting with Rodtang.
'The General' said:
"So, yeah, this is the one. Jonathan Haggerty versus Rodtang, number one, Dawn of Heroes. This is where it all started. This is where the back and forth go. This is where the trilogy is going to happen soon."
Haggerty continued:
"So this one, we knew we had strong hands, so we were using the teep a lot, using the teep, left kick, which was working great. He didn't like the teep. Then he started catching the teep, and now you can see him start to rush in the third round. He started rushing. Maybe he felt like he was down on the scorecards."
Haggerty and Rodtang ended up with one of the most intense rivalries in ONE history, which has yet to be resolved.
