Tiffany Teo blasts Angela Lee for failing to defend her atomweight world title with consistency

Top 5 ranked 'No Chill' Tiffany Teo is not impressed with the ONE women's atomweight world champion 'Unstoppable' Angela Lee. The Singaporean-American is eyeing a potential submission grappling match, which ticked off the Singaporean Teo.

On Instagram, ONE Championship shared a potential submission grappling showdown between the atomweight queen Angela Lee and Brazilian jiu-jitsu expert Danielle Kelly.

"Who wants to see THIS grudge match? 👀 [Angela Lee] [Danielle Kelly]"

'No Chill' was not happy to see this. She posted her thoughts in the comments and said:

"How about defending her atomweight belt? Fun fact: Since 2018 Angela Lee has defended her belt only twice. She had time to lose 3 fights in strawweight division during this time but not enough time to defend her belt even once every two year."

Teo has risen to the top of the competitive atomweight division in ONE Championship. In 2022, she earned impressive submission wins over Ritu Phogat and Meng Bo.

Most recently, Angela Lee is coming off a loss to China's Xiong Jing Nan for the women's strawweight throne. After the fight, Lee complained about the decision and Teo called her a sore loser.

Tiffany Teo discusses Angela Lee

After five rounds against the ONE women's flyweight world champion, Xiong Jing Nan was unanimously given the decision by the judges. 'Unstoppable' complained publicly about the decision.

Top five ranked atomweight Tiffany Teo said while speaking in an interview with ONE said:

"I feel like she’s a sore loser, right? I feel like, under the ONE Championship rule set, for sure she didn’t win the belt. And also, you can’t just cry over it just because you lost. It’s double standards because when Denice [Zamboanga] lost, she was like, ‘Don’t leave it to the hands of the judges.’"

The Singaporean fighter added that if she faced Lee, she would definitely need a finish as any judge's decision would be decried by 'Unstoppable.' Teo explained:

“It might be a bit controversial if it reaches the judges’ scorecards, so in a fight with Angela, I definitely need a finish to not let the judges decide.”

'No Chill' Tiffany Teo may be next in line to challenge for the atomweight crown against reigning queen Angela Lee. Teo does not like 'Unstoppable', and the lead-up to this fight would be full of verbal barbs.
