Chael Sonnen recently took aim at the greatest golfer to ever walk the face of the Earth, accusing Tiger Woods of following "the Lance Armstrong diet."

'The American Gangster' appeared on comedian Andrew Schulz's podcast FLAGRANT, and simultaneously accused both LeBron James and Woods of using PEDs. Sonnen claimed that James and Woods have both used EPO, a performance enhancing drug used by Lance Armstrong and T.J. Dillashaw.

EPO increases the number of red blood cells in the blood, which allows for increased performance and recovery.

Chael Sonnen said this about Tiger Woods:

"Like other basketball players will hear what LeBron [James] does and go, 'That doesn't matter.' No, if you knew what these performance enhancers did, then you would know why it does matter... There's only one golfer that follows the big three. And the big three is: EPO, growth hormone and testosterone. That's the Lance Armstrong Diet. There's one golfer, but it's Tiger Woods. Like, yes it does matter! EPO matters, it's the reason LeBron takes it."

Chael Sonnen tested positive for PEDs during his combat sports career, and appears to be using his previous experience to shed light on other professional athletes who use performance enhancing drugs.

During an appearance on Ariel Helwani's show The MMA Hour last week, 'The American Gangster' claimed that he could tell Jon Jones was on steroids when the pair fought at UFC 159 in 2013.

Sonnen stated that he had taken PEDs prior to UFC 159, but felt powerless in comparison to Jones. He said this:

"I had more juice than Tropicana and [Jones] pushed me around like a Mack truck"

Jon Jones has also previously failed drug tests for steroids, and whether Sonnen is playing off of that or being sincere is difficult to discern.

Chael Sonnen reveals he made $8.8 million when he fought Anderson Silva

UFC fighter pay has been a contentious issue for many years. The disparity between the salaries of fighters and the total revenue generated by the UFC is consistently called into question. But as the promotion seldom discloses accurate fight purses, it is difficult to know exactly how much fighters earn.

Chael Sonnen, a former UFC title challenger, revealed on a recent episode of the FLAGRANT podcast with Andrew Schulz that he made over $8 million for his second fight with Anderson Silva at UFC 148 in 2012.

He said this:

"The most I ever made was 8.8 [million] in one night. I made $8.8 million the second time I fought Anderson [Silva]."
