Former UFC fighter and US special forces soldier Tim Kennedy put out a tweet blasting media censorship in light of a COVID-19 report. He recently shared an article written by Hans Mahncke of The Epoch Times.

The article talks about a report published on the preprint server of bioRXiv, which concluded that the SARS-CoV-2 virus "most likely originated in a laboratory."

In his tweet, Kennedy took aim at "fact-checkers" and "tech companies," claiming that they would have canceled or censored him if he had previously shared the report.

"I remember when my account would've been canceled for tweeting this. I remember when the fact checkers lied about data. I remember when every big tech company censored this."

Tim Kennedy doesn't shy away from speaking his mind on a range of issues. He has appeared on the JRE podcast a couple of times and spoke about gun rights, censorship, his military exploits, and combat sports amongst other things.

Tim Kennedy has had an illustrious career, from serving in the military to fighting professionally to hosting his own TV show and founding several companies.

He started training in martial arts at an early age when his father enrolled him in boxing, wrestling and Japanese jiu-jitsu lessons. He started his amateur fighting career in 1996 and fought professionally in 2001-03 before joining the US Army in 2004. He fought again in 2006 and then in 2007 before being deployed overseas in 2008.

Tim Kennedy has served in the Iraq War, the War in Afghanistan and in Operation Juniper Shield: counterterrorism efforts across central Africa.

Kennedy returned to fighting in 2009 after his overseas deployment. He fought in Strikeforce from 2009 up until its closure in 2013. He, along with many Strikeforce fighters, were picked up by the UFC, where he fought until 2016. Kennedy has wins against notable fighters like Robbie Lawler, Roger Gracie, and Michael Bisping.

In 2017, he retired from MMA with a record of 18-6. The same year, he announced his re-enlistment in the US Army in 2017.

Since retiring from MMA, Tim Kennedy has hosted and produced several TV shows including Hunting Hitler, Hard to Kill, Not a War Story, Warriors, and Iron Dragon TV.

He has also founded several companies including Sheepdog, 4 Pillars Fit and RangerUP.
