Tim Walz's daughter Hope Walz has explained how she uses Joe Rogan as a litmus test for the dating aspect of her personal life. The 23-year-old ski instructor and social worker suggested that she and her friends attempt to refrain from dating people who follow/support Rogan on his podcast and/or elsewhere on social media.

Rogan, a longtime UFC color commentator and podcaster, notably hosted the Democratic Party's Bernie Sanders on the JRE (Joe Rogan Experience) podcast a few years ago. He's assertively supported Sanders. However, the consensus is that Rogan's support has shifted from the deemed left-wing and Democratic Party to the deemed right-wing and the Republican Party.

Rogan hosted ex-POTUS (President of the United States) and current President-elect Donald Trump on JRE in October and even officially endorsed him on the eve of the Nov. 5, 2024, POTUS elections. Many have even credited Rogan for helping Trump win.

Joe Rogan consistently criticized the Democratic Party's 2024 presidential hopeful Kamala Harris and vice presidential hopeful, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Addressing her followers on the social media platform, TikTok, Tim's daughter Hope Walz recently stated:

"A litmus test for me and my friends for like years now has been if the guy we're talking to follows Joe Rogan on Instagram, they're a red flag and we should probably stop talking to them ... And the times when they do follow him on Instagram and we haven't stopped talking to them ... it's never ended well."

She claimed that the aforementioned litmus test has never failed her and her friends, adding that it's the first thing they monitor when they start talking to a new person.

Moreover, Hope underscored that if the person she or a friend is talking to and could potentially date is following Rogan on social media, then they decide that the said person is likely incompatible. She highlighted that the person's values don't align with theirs, so they move on from them. Emphasizing that their approach has worked out well, Hope said:

"There's been some heartbreak in there because of it, or at least some disappointment, but it truly is a litmus test and I got you, ladies. You should start doing it." [*H/T HuffPost for the quotes]

Hope Walz's condemnation of Joe Rogan comes in the wake of his criticism of Tim Walz on JRE

After Joe Biden's withdrawal from the presidential race earlier this year, the Democratic Party's Kamala Harris ran for president, with Tim Walz as the vice presidential hopeful. Hope Walz also partook in the Harris-Walz campaign. Following Harris' defeat against Trump, Hope reiterated her support for Harris and Tim as well.

Hope Walz's condemnation of Joe Rogan and JRE comes months after Rogan jabbed at Walz for his views, as well as for his work as Governor in the state of Minnesota. On episode #2185, Rogan said:

"So then they bring in her [Harris] and they bring in this other guy [Walz] who's a radical from Minnesota. That's the vice president, who, he believes a lot of wild things, one of them is transgender surgery for people who are under 13."
