Several MMA fans took notice of Ferguson's post and shared their reactions to it in the comments section.

Many shared words of encouragement for the former interim lightweight champion:

"Title run starts in 2025."
"Winning streak starts in 2025!"
"2025 the year of 'El Cucuy'."

One individual opined that 'El Cucuy' was just about to enter the prime of his fighting career:

"It's Tony time now. You're barely hitting your prime now. You're more than capable of showing everyone that you can still do what you did to Anthony Pettis. You are motherf**king Tony Ferguson. When [Bruce] Buffer yells out, 'IT'S TIIIIME!', we're going to see 'El Cucuy' back in his prime."

Tony Ferguson is going through a rough patch in the UFC

Once considered one of the best fighters in the UFC's lightweight division, Tony Ferguson is not doing too well in the promotion right now. 'El Cucuy' is currently on an eight-skid and five of them have been finishes.

The 40-year-old won his last fight in June 2019 when he defeated Donald Cerrone via TKO at UFC 238.

Considering his age and the current losing streak, the chances of Ferguson returning to winning ways do not seem too good.
