Filipino strawweight MMA sensation 'The Jaguar' Jeremy Miado is in a sticky situation. His upcoming showdown with fourth-ranked strawweight MMA contender Hiroba Minowa of Japan is an important one.
First of all, Miado is in a must-win situation. After three successive defeats, 'The Jaguar' has to win his next fight, lest suffer a fourth straight loss and find his career in limbo. Secondly, Minowa is one of the toughest strawweights in the division, and is notoriously difficult to beat.
Overall, the odds are against Miado, and the Filipino will need to dig deep in order to secure the win.
Speaking to YouTube channel, The MMA Superfan, in a recent interview, Miado said he plans on turning to a fellow Filipino for advice -- former Team Lakay fighter Lito Adiwang.

'The Jaguar' said:
"I haven’t talked with Lito yet about Minowa, but I’m planning to. I’ve just been really busy with training. But I want to at least send him a message to get an idea of what I need to prepare for against Minowa."
Miado and Adiwang went to war in November 2023 in an all-Filipino matchup, with 'Thunder Kid' taking home a three-round unanimous decision. Subsequently, Adiwang has experience against Minowa, whom he lost to in 2020 via split decision.
Needless to say, Adiwang's input could prove invaluable.
