A recent encounter between UFC stars Tom Aspinall and Jon Jones has gone viral after Jones appeared to dismiss Aspinall's attempt at a friendly gesture.
During the Arnold Sports Festival in Birmingham, England, Aspinall placed a hand on Jones' shoulder while initiating conversation. However, Jones calmly removed the hand.
The incident, though brief, sparked discussions about a potential lack of respect between the fighters. Aspinall, however, has downplayed the situation. In a recent interview with BroBible, the interim UFC heavyweight champion clarified his intentions.

“There nothing's going. I think everyone's reasoning into it too much. I'm just a friendly guy, that's how I show affection. You know, I'm a touchy guy I guess when I like somebody and uh I was just trying to be respectful Jon [Jones]. Jon [Jones] took it the wrong way.”

Tom Aspinall calls Curtis Blaydes rematch a "lose-lose fight"
Tom Aspinall gets a second chance to prove himself against Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304. Their first encounter at UFC London in July 2022 ended abruptly, with Aspinall suffering a knee injury just seconds into the fight, resulting in a TKO loss for the Englishman.
In a recent interview with The MacLife, Aspinall acknowledged Blaydes' stylistic challenge but expressed mixed feelings about the rematch.
"Curtis is the toughest matchup in the division for me stylistically. This is no disrespect to Curtis. It's a bit of a lose-lose fight. In the fact that he's not that popular. The guys who you want to fight are the guys who stylistically you match up well with, and they're really popular. They're the guys you wanna fight."
