Tom Aspinall recently provided an update about his potential fight with Jon Jones. Aspinall finally came up with something positive regarding the encounter after a prolonged period.
Aspinall has now spent more than a year calling out for an undisputed heavyweight title fight against Jones. The UK native claimed the interim heavyweight championship at UFC 295 with a victory over Sergei Pavlovich. Aspinall also had to accept an interim title defense fight against Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304 due to Jones' negligence in accepting his callout.
The situation didn't improve even after Aspinall's successful title defense with victory over Blaydes. Jones continued to reject his callouts by counting him as an undeserving rival because of his inferior resume. However, Jones' octagon interview at UFC 309 provided the UFC community with hope about the materialization of the much-awaited encounter.
In a latest video on his YouTube channel, Aspinall indicated that he had been contacted by the UFC authorities regarding the fight against Jones. The 31-year-old mentioned that he has accepted the offer. He said:

"I’ve said ‘yes’ to the fight [vs. Jones]. I’ve agreed to it, obviously, and yes that’s it. [I’m] just waiting for his side and the UFC to sort it out."

Tom Aspinall believes he will lock horns with Jon Jones in 2025
Tom Aspinall was present among the crowd in Madison Square Garden to witness Jon Jones' victory over Stipe Miocic at UFC 309. A few days later, Aspinall also congratulated 'Bones' in a video on his YouTube channel.
Aspinall took to his YouTube channel to make an interesting prediction last month about his fight against Jones. He also hinted that the clash could happen this year.
"Good fight against Stipe. Let's remember, I ain't Stipe, completely different. And I possess a whole different attribute of skills, aggression, speed, power and everything else to Stipe Miocic. So, Stipe is retired, much respect to him. Much respect to Jon Jones, as well, believe it or not, but I'm coming for both of them belts and 2025 is when it's going to happen."
