Tom Aspinall was able to successfully defend his interim heavyweight title last month as he defeated Curtis Blaydes via first-round TKO at UFC 304. He has continued to angle for a title unification bout against Jon Jones. However, it has been to no avail as 'Bones' is reportedly set to face Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 in November.

The No. 1-ranked heavyweight recently revealed that he will be present and wants the undisputed heavyweight champion to hand him the belt after the bout. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Aspinall stated:

"Jon Jones, I know you got your fight coming up. Apparently, it's in November against Stipe Miocic. Nothing has been announced or signed yet, as far as I'm aware, but if that does happen, I'll be there."

Aspinall continued:

"I'll be ready to jump in with either of you guys for the undisputed title, if one of you is going to pull out, but if you successfully defend against Stipe in November, I will be there in the crowd. I'll be there front row. I want you to hand me the undisputed title as you walk past me please. Thank you."

It should be noted that contracts for Jones and Miocic were reportedly signed last year when the former was forced to withdraw from their planned UFC 295 bout after tearing the tendon that connects his pectoral muscle to the bone.

The injury opened the door for Aspinall to capture the interim heavyweight title, which he has since defended. It is unclear if he will be able to convince 'Bones' to delay his retirement plans for one more bout.

Tom Aspinall claims that Stipe Miocic is battling an injury ahead of rumored Jon Jones clash

Tom Aspinall's call for an undisputed title shot has largely landed on empty ears as the UFC has shown no interest in calling off the planned bout between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic.

The interim heavyweight champion recently claimed that he has heard rumors about Miocic possibly battling an injury with the rumored bout just three months away. Speaking on his YouTube channel, he stated:

"These are just rumors at this point. There's a lot of talk, but there's nothing announced yet. These are all rumors. I'm hearing rumors that Stipe's potentially injured. These are stuff that I'm hearing from inner circles. Stipe, I believe his birthday was yesterday actually, he's 42 years old. The guy is going to be injury prone. Jon Jones, a million miles on the clock. He's going to be injury prone."

Aspinall added that he is ready to go and has not even reached his prime yet. He claimed that he is hungry for the title and will fight either opponent on any notice while also questioning the hunger of the two future UFC Hall of Famers.
