Tommy Fury found himself on the receiving end of pointed comments from KSI (real name Olajide Olatunji) following the announcement of Darren Till's new opponent. 'TNT' was originally slated to face the former UFC welterweight title challenger in the headline bout of Misfits X Series 20, scheduled for Jan. 18 at Co-op Live in Manchester, England.
However, Fury withdrew from the matchup earlier this month, alleging that Till might resort to "stupid MMA tactics" despite it being a boxing contest. Expectedly, 'The Gorilla' ridiculed these claims, brushing them off as promotional antics meant to stir up hype for the fight. Till is now set to clash with famous boxer Anthony Taylor in an eight-round heavyweight showdown at the same event.
Following the confirmation of Till’s upcoming bout with Taylor, KSI took to Instagram stories to throw shade at Fury. He posted (via Bloody Elbow):

"F**k Tommy Fury, now we got a real fight."
'The Nightmare' had also taken aim at Fury following his withdrawal from the scheduled bout. In a video on his YouTube channel earlier this month, KSI unleashed a fiery rant and called 'TNT' a coward who never intended to face Till in the first place:
"Darren Till was never going to kick Tommy Fury. Tommy is just a f**king p*ssy and didn’t want to get in the ring with Darren because I think he got intimidated by him, simple as that, f**k Tommy Fury. Molly Mae [Hague], he’s a deadbeat father, and he should go f**k himself."

Did KSI file an appeal to overturn his loss to Tommy Fury?
KSI and Tommy Fury faced off in the main event of Misfits X DAZN: The Prime Card in October 2023, which turned out to be a closely contested battle.
All three judges unanimously scored the bout 57-56 in favor of 'TNT'. However, KSI strongly disagreed with the decision and, following the fight, expressed his frustration by calling it a "robbery" before announcing his intention to appeal against the outcome.
KSI's manager, Mams Taylor, later revealed that their legal team had officially submitted an appeal to the PBA, the governing body overseeing the fight, seeking to overturn the loss to Fury. However, after a review by an independent panel in December 2023, the PBA announced that they found no sufficient grounds to reverse the outcome.
