Tommy Langaker named Tye Ruotolo as a potential opponent for later this year. Between June 2023 and Jan. 2024, Langaker suffered back-to-back defeats against ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion Kade Ruotolo.
The Norweigan is now eyeing a matchup against his twin brother, welterweight world champion Tye Ruotolo. During an interview with Nick Atkin, Langaker had this to say about wanting to compete against Tye in North America:
"Yeah, I’d love to go to America for a show, that’ll be cool. That’ll be cool to go with ONE in America, whenever that is. Maybe, it would be Tye, who knows?"
Tommy Langaker has competed in ONE Championship four times. He started with consecutive wins against Renato Canuto and Uali Kurzhev before suffering the previously mentioned defeats against Kade Ruotolo.

Tommy Langaker has business to take care of before future plans
On Jan. 10, Tommy Langaker will compete for the first time in 2025 at ONE Fight Night 27. Langaker's upcoming opponent is Dante Leon, who's widely considered a future title challenger at lightweight or welterweight.
Leon made his promotional debut in December 2024 at ONE Fight Night 26. The Canadian quickly put the division on notice with an armbar finish against Bruno Pucci, leading to a $50,000 performance bonus.
Leon is arguably one win away from challenging Kade Ruotolo for ONE lightweight gold. It'll be easier said than done for the 29-year-old, as he suffered a loss against Langaker at the 2018 IBJJF Pan Championship.
ONE Fight Night 27 goes down inside the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Friday's event can be seen live and for free by North American and Canadian viewers with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
The Jan. 10 spectacle also showcases Tang Kai vs. Akbar Abdullaev (featherweight MMA title main event), Kulabdam vs. John Lineker (catchweight Muay Thai co-main event), Denice Zamboanga vs. Alyona Rassohyna (interim women's atomweight MMA title featured bout), and more.
