Tracy Cortez has hit out at an MMA news website with accusations of clickbait following her recent fight cancelation.
The flyweight prospect was set to fight Amanda Ribas at UFC Orlando in early December. After both fighters made weight on Friday morning, the fight was pulled after Cortez could not fight due to an undisclosed medical condition.

Cortez responded to the tweet, saying:
"This is false news my current state of mind had absolutely nothing to do with my fight being canceled… click bate at its finest. I was physically not capable to fight."
Cortez accused the site of using 'clickbait' since her mental health condition had nothing to do with her fight against Amanda Ribas being called off at UFC Orlando.
The flyweight fighter, who is the girlfriend of Brian 'T-City' Ortega, is currently unbeaten in the UFC since making her debut in 2019. Her planned opponent Ribas lost in her previous fight and was looking to get back to winning ways.
The former Dana White's Contender Series fighter has not fought since May this year when she beat Melissa Gato via unanimous decision. She will look to make a return to the cage in 2023.

Tracy Cortez released a statement regarding her fight against Amanda Ribas being pulled out
Tracy Cortez was looking to extend her unbeaten streak in the UFC against Amanda Ribas on December 3. The pair were set to fight on the UFC Orlando card and even finished their weigh-ins for the fight.
However, it was called off at the last minute due to an undisclosed medical condition on the side of Cortez. She later released a statement on Twitter to explain the situation:
"First & foremost I want to thank every single one of you that sent me sweet heart felt messages honestly, means the world to me. It's so easy to be negative & think the worst in a situation like mine this past weekend & I'm just grateful to have fans that are so supporting! So, thank you! With that being said, I, myself did NOT pull out of my fight this past weekend. I was pulled by the Orlando state commission & doctors."
Tracy Cortez went on to say that she spoke to Amanda Ribas and thanked her for understanding the situation. Although she did not disclose the reason as to why she was pulled out, she did say that she hopes to return to the octagon soon.
