Conor McGregor uploaded footage of himself engaging in various solo drills, sharing the compilation of clips on his Instagram page. Unfortunately, fans remained unconvinced by the Irishman's endlessly teased return, having not seen him fight since 2021.

Among the clips McGregor shared was one of him practicing his ground-and-pound on a heavy bag laid on the mat and positional grappling drills with the same heavy bag. These drills appear to be instructions from Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and solo drills instructor Carvalho Archimedes, who he tagged in the caption.

"#solodrills @carvalhoarchimedes"

While McGregor has always been a striker by trade, he appears to have developed some respect for grappling, having acquired his Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt late last year. Regardless, fans popped up in the comment section of his post with criticism.

One fan accused McGregor of training to no end, claiming that the former UFC double champion will never return.

"Training just to never come back"

Others were more critical of the content of his training, comparing it unfavorably to Tony Ferguson's methods, which are known for being unorthodox.

"I've seen Tony Ferguson training footage looking better"

Some gave credence to the oft-repeated narrative that McGregor has changed for the worse due to his wealth.

"Money really does change people"

However, it was the fear of never seeing McGregor fight again that was rampant.

"You're never coming back dude"

McGregor hasn't fought since snapping his leg in the UFC 264 main event against Dustin Poirier. It was the pair's third bout, with 'The Diamond' up 2-1. There was a glimmer of hope this year, with McGregor preemptively scheduled to headline UFC 303 at welterweight with Michael Chandler.

Unfortunately, he withdrew from the fight after fracturing his toe and remains without a comeback fight.

Conor McGregor has doubled down on boxing Logan Paul

Despite his past dismissal of Jake Paul, Conor McGregor claimed that he will box the former's older brother Logan Paul in an exhibition bout ahead of his UFC return. He will reportedly do so in India at the request of the billionaire Ambani family. Now, McGregor has reasserted the claim with a tweet today.

The tweet in question sees McGregor react to a different tweet claiming that the Irishman's bout with the eldest Paul brother will take place in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, with a $250 million purse for both men.
