Belal Muhammad recently came under fire from fight fans after sharing his predictions for potential fights against Shavkat Rakhmonov and Ian Machado Garry. The reigning welterweight champion claimed he'd make easy work of the two 170-pound juggernauts after watching their fight tapes.

Muhammad was booked to face Rakhmonov in a title fight at UFC 310 this weekend. However, a medical issue forced him out of the matchup. He was then replaced by Garry, who was moved from his booking against Joaquin Buckley at UFC Tampa later this month. Given that Muhammad had some down time while recovering from injury, it appears he's been busy studying potential future opponents. In an X post, he wrote:

"These last six weeks, I’ve been watching a lot of tape and studying both these guys, and my official unbiased breakdown is that I break both of them."

Fans soon flocked to the post's comments section to express their thoughts and roasted 'Remember the Name' for his prediction.

Belal Muhammad on Ian Machado Garry replacing him against Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310

Belal Muhammad recently opened up about Ian Machado Garry taking his spot against Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310 and admitted that the matchup made sense to him. He also expressed joy at the interim welterweight title not being on the line.

Speaking to Jason Anik on the Anik & Florian Podcast, Muhammad pointed out that Garry and Rakhmonov were both undefeated fighters and were putting their unbeaten status on the line for this fight. He said:

''I'm happy that there was no interim belt. I don't think it was needed, but yeah, I think the matchup makes a lot of sense, especially when you're looking at the division... It made more sense than Buckley and Ian Garry. I think Shavkat and Ian Garry are both undefeated; both guys are right there at the top, and they both called each other out before Ian said he wanted that fight before, but it makes a lot of sense, and I'm excited to see how it goes.''
