"This season of America is lit" - Joe Rogan, Jorge Masvidal, and other MMA pros react to Joe Biden vs. Donald Trump presidential debate

Several MMA stars, including former UFC welterweight title challenger Jorge Masvidal, reacted to the first 2024 presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

The candidates enrolled in the debate on the grounds of economic framework, abortion rights, democracy, international crisis, and ongoing war-related topics. However, throughout the debate, it seemed like Biden was struggling at times losing his flow of thoughts.

Following the last fight of his UFC career, Jorge Masvidal, an avid supporter of the Republican leader, used his post-fight octagon interview to hail Trump as the "greatest president" ever. 'Gamebred' was among the first to react to the presidential debate, posting a picture with Trump with the caption:

"Trump by K.O @realdonaldtrump Anyone understand what Biden saying?"

UFC color commentator Joe Rogan was absorbed by the gripping events. He wrote:

"This season of America is lit. Kudos to the writers. They’re killing it."

Former UFC middleweight champion highlighted a specific segment from the debate on X writing:

"CNN "do you think your age is a concern" Biden "I bought microchips from south Korea" ...... what is going on here.... #TheRealDebate."

Meanwhile, former 185-pound titleholder Chris Weidman wrote:

"Trump and Biden arguing over who would win in a golf match is hysterical! Biden went from a 6 handicap to an 8 in a second. Trump wins that golf match hands down btw."

Chael Sonnen speculates that Jorge Masvidal retired to preemptively avoid getting cut from the UFC

Chael Sonnen and Jorge Masvidal share a history of friction and have engaged in fiery exchanges in the past.

'Gamebred,' who's gearing up to take on rival Nate Diaz in a boxing match next, had some choice words regarding a potential fight with Conor McGregor. Masvidal claimed that he's a bigger draw than Michael Chandler and alleged that McGregor has been avoiding a fight against the Miami native.

Before he retired from the UFC, Masvidal went on a four-fight losing skid that snapped a three-fight win streak. In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Sonnen speculated that Masvidal's retirement was perhaps a move to sidestep from receiving the dreaded pink slip. Sonnen said:

"Did he forget he retired? Even though you retired cause you didn't wanna get cut, your contract is still running. Like you can't actually go somewhere else...They think you are out. They think you are done, but you didn't do what Nate did. You didn't actually finish off your contract. You were worried coming off of yet another loss that they [UFC] werent going to give you another fight to save face."
