Fans have been reacting to Turki Alalshik's interest in bringing Wladimir Klitschko out of retirement, after Saudi Arabia's General of Entertainment Authority revealed he's open to the idea of seeing the Ukranian rematch against Tyson Fury.
Klitschko is considered by many to be one of the greatest heavyweight boxers in the history of the sport. The 48-year-old was known for his knockout power, venomous jab and formidable strength, which helped him win multiple titles throughout his career (64-5), including the unified heavyweight titles between 2008 and 2015.
'Dr. Steelhammer' would eventually call time on his career in 2017 after suffering back-to-back losses to Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. However, according to Turki Alalshik's latest comments, he could be set for a sensational return to the squared circle.
First reported by talkSPORT boxing editor Michael Benson, His Excellency is considering the possibility of bringing Wladimir Klitschko out of retirement in order to give him the chance to break the record as the oldest-ever heavyweight champion.

When Wladimir Klitschko called for a change in boxing
After calling time on his professional career in 2017, Wladimir Klitschko has continued to have a big voice in the sport. The Ukranian has regularly shared his opinions on the boxing landscape and back in 2022, he called for a major change.
According to Klitschko, he wanted to see major improvements by the governing bodies for the protection and welfare of fighters. The 48-year-old noted that boxers are putting their lives on the line and would like to see them have security in their jobs and with healthcare. He said:
"Thousands of amateurs and professional athletes keep boxing alive or lose their life as it's happening unfortunately every year. Yet many have no security, no education, or healthcare. The governing bodies, managers and promoters never think about the well-being of their athletes."
