Jonathan Haggerty has become accustomed to headlining some of the biggest events of the year in ONE Championship. To do that, he often competes in Asia, where he has found a home away from home in recent years.
His next bout in the main event of ONE 168 sees him main event the promotion's second trip to the United States.
Defending his bantamweight Muay Thai world championship against Superlek at the Ball Arena in Denver is a huge moment for his career but there is still one destination that he has his eye on.
Haggerty hopes that he can bring ONE Championship to the UK in order to continue breaking new ground and so that he can fight in front of his home fans.

In a recent interview with the South China Morning Post, he pitched a pair of bouts between some of the finest strikers that the region has ever produced as potential fights for such an event:
"Definitely, me versus Nico Carrillo [for the] main event. There's some great up-and-coming UK fighters. So maybe Harrison and Nathan Bendon for the co-main event? Yeah, the list just goes on."

Jonathan Haggerty has the stature to make it happen
If there's anyone that can bring ONE Championship to the UK for the first time, it's two sport world champion Jonathan Haggerty.
This is especially true if he ends up defending his title against his Scottish rival, Nico Carrillo, which would be the biggest fight that ONE has ever put on for this part of the world.
'The General' wants to make this dream of fighting on home soil into a reality and he usually achieves what he sets his mind on.
For Haggerty, his focus is on beating every opponent that looks to challenge him, regardless of where the fight takes place.
At the same time, bringing the promotion back to his home would be an incredible moment for the Brit.
