Nico Carrillo is heading into overdrive merely two weeks before the biggest match of his career.
The Scottish knockout machine will face off against 6-foot-4 phenom Nabil Anane for the ONE interim bantamweight Muay Thai world title at the stacked ONE 170 card on Jan. 24 at Impact Arena.
Expressing his thoughts on Instagram, Carrillo posted that his showdown against Anane would be the culmination of a dream that only he, his fiance, and coach JP Gallacher believed in.

"Two weeks to go, two weeks until greatness. A vision only me, my coach, and my fiance, could see for the longest time when no one else could. Now, it's about to come true."
Carrillo and Gallacher have stationed themselves at Sasiprapa Gym in Bangkok since November in preparation for ONE 170.
'King of the North' was originally set to challenge two-sport world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title in the January card.
Superlek, who also holds the ONE flyweight kickboxing world title, however, had to pull out of the match after suffering an injury in training camp.
Nevertheless, Carrillo remained committed to the mission and would now face Anane for the interim bantamweight Muay Thai strap.
Carrillo would then face Superlek at ONE 172 on March 23 at Saitama Super Arena if he beats Anane for the ONE interim bantamweight Muay Thai world title at ONE 170.
Nico Carrillo plans to silence critics at ONE 170
Nico Carrillo is taking things at a personal level when he enters the Circle at ONE 170.
In a previous Instagram post, Carrillo wrote that he's out to silence the critics who have constantly berated him on social media ahead of the biggest fight of his career.
Carrillo is a perfect 4-0 in ONE Championship, with all wins coming via knockout, and he's determined to capture the ONE interim bantamweight Muay Thai world title to silence his detractors.
"It is easy to criticize and break down the spirit of others, but to know yourself takes a lifetime. I am coming for gold and will not leave empty-handed. #ONE170 @onechampionship."
