Following the event, Ruotolo took to Instagram, sharing his appreciation for the men and women who have supported him, the ONE CEO for rewarding him with his second $50,000 bonus, and the people of the Philippines for their passion.
“When you love what you do you never work a day in your life”

Kade Ruotolo joined his brother Tye Ruotolo in the win column at ONE on Prime Video 5
Not long after Tye Ruotolo scored his own impressive win, his brother Kade Ruotolo stepped inside the circle to defend his ONE lightweight submission grappling world championship against IBJJF world champion Matheus Gabriel.
Though he was unable to score a finish against his Brazilian challenger, Kade Ruotolo delivered a dominant performance, earning him a unanimous decision victory. After the match, Kade Ruotolo spoke about the toughness of his opponent during the ONE on Prime Video 5 press conference:
“I thought for sure he was going to tap but there is a lot of those type of guys who are style guard players, they've been through, they let their legs break so many times. They're almost painless."
