Tye Ruotolo plans to add Jozef Chen to his list of people he's submitted in ONE Championship submission grappling matches.
Since his debut in May 2022, Ruotolo has capitalized on the opportunities presented under the ONE banner and established a promotional record of 6-0.
The ONE welterweight submission grappling world champion also earned several US$50,000 performance bonuses for his impressive displays.
On Friday, the 21-year-old superstar returns to action for a non-title catchweight bout against Chen, a South African promotional newcomer.

Ruotolo followed up by saying:
"My opponents always know what I'm going to do but the plan is just to go ahead and do it anyway. So yeah, it should be good."

Jozef Chen looks to capitalize on massive opportunity against Tye Ruotolo
Most people are predicting Tye Ruotolo will emerge victorious at ONE Fight Night 23 due to his world-class grappling.
That said, Jozef Chen shouldn't be overlooked, as he's worked his entire life to capitalize on this opportunity.
Chen may not be a household name yet, but he's earned respect from fellow competitors in various tournaments.
The 19-year-old's most significant accomplishment at the professional level was a first-place medal at the 2023 ADCC European Trials.
Meanwhile, Ruotolo is riding momentum after submitting Izaak Michell in his last promotional appearance.
It'll be intriguing to see if the ONE welterweight submission grappling world champion can extend his legacy and add Chen to the growing list of grapplers he's defeated inside the distance.
