A body language expert has highlighted a major "red flag" that Tyson Fury displayed moments before his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk. The expert, who's known to excel in assessing behavioral and body language indications, suggested that Fury's gesture was a warning about his eventual defeat.
Fury first faced Usyk this past May in an undisputed heavyweight title showdown. The Ukrainian almost knocked 'The Gypsy King' out in the ninth round and eventually bagged a split decision win to become boxing's undisputed heavyweight champion. It was the Englishman's first loss in the professional boxing realm.
Usyk later vacated his IBF heavyweight belt and thereby went back to being a unified champion rather than undisputed.
Their rematch transpired on Saturday night in Riyadh, where the unbeaten Ukrainian defended his unified title by beating Fury via unanimous decision. It marked the Englishman's second consecutive defeat.

As reported by the Daily Star, Judi James recently spoke to BetUK about the Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury rematch.
Widely considered a prominent body language expert and behavioral analyst, the UK-based public personality insinuated that Fury displayed signs of contrived bravado in the aftermath of the fight.
James seemingly alluded to when the two boxers stood inside the ring waiting for the official verdict to be announced and the Englishman had one fist raised as a signal of his assumed victory. She indicated that it was simply another part of Fury's performance, which wasn't truly authentic.
Moreover, she opined that a major red flag suggesting Fury possibly faced a motivational issue or some other problem going into the rematch was reflected by his gesture of puffing air as he entered the fight. James explained:
"There was one key gesture though, that seemed to signal a motivational glitch or problem and which acted as a red flag in terms of his chances of winning this fight... A very chilling gesture of the puffing out of air as he got down to the business of the fight suggested he just wanted to get it over with, whereas successful boxers tend to look excited by and longing for the fight itself. Some of the best boxers have approached their fights looking like dogs pulling to get off the leash and get stuck in."
Ex-boxing champion praises Tyson Fury's mindset for Oleksandr Usyk rematch, attributes loss to lifestyle
Akin to their first fight, Tyson Fury believes he was wronged by the judges. It's unclear when he'll compete next. Meanwhile, Oleksandr Usyk seems set to fight the winner of the Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker fight that transpires in February.
Judi James and many others speculated about whether Fury adopted an incorrect psychological approach to his rematch against Usyk. However, boxing analyst and ex-cruiserweight champion boxer Johnny Nelson gave a different assessment.
He implied that Fury had the right mindset, marked by many sacrifices in camp for the rematch, but several years of his lifestyle outside the ring ultimately caught up.
Nelson lamented that Tyson Fury was overthinking rather than throwing instinctively, as he mostly does:
"Ultimately, Tyson Fury has paid the price for his lifestyle away from the ring. He came into this rematch with the right attitude, the right intent but the delivery just wasn't there." [h/t Daily Mail]
