Tyson Fury next fight: Potential opponent revealed as Oleksandr Usyk bout falls through

Tyson Fury is moving on to a new opponent after his undisputed heavyweight title fight against Oleksandr Usyk fell through earlier this week.

Mike Coppinger confirmed on Max on Boxing that the undisputed heavyweight fight is ‘as dead as it gets’, after the journalist spoke to both Fury and Usyk’s camp, and said this in an interview:

“That fight is as dead as it gets, I spoke to all the sides and both sides are moving on. I’m told there are some venues that are on hold for Tyson Fury for the summer, he’s not looking at retirement, maybe a fight with Joe Joyce. That is the front runner and I think it’s a hell of a fight.

True to his word, Tyson Fury will face Joe Joyce if the Usyk fight is not made. Almost exactly like he said in his call out of Oleksandr Usyk in his post-fight interview at Fury vs. Chisora 3, where he said:

“Big Joe Joyce is here and Big Joe Joyce is a warrior, I’ll tell ya what Joe, I’m the only man that calls your name out. Everybody else is scared of ya. So if this little rabbit [Usyk] don’t want it and it can’t be made, let’s me and you my brother do Wembley. Cmon Joe Joyce!”.

Anthony Joshua has broken his silence about the undisputed clash breaking down due to failed negotiations. ‘AJ’ has a fight of his own on April 1st against Jermaine Franklin at the O2 Arena.

While speaking to the Mirror, Joshua offered his thoughts on the fight being off, saying:

"Look at all the s*** they are going through now with this Usyk stuff," he said. "It’s just crazy. I don’t publicise things so it’s actually good that people are starting to see what goes on in negotiations.
