UFC 282 initially struggled to nail down a main-event contest, with Jiri Prochazka vs. Glover Teixeira falling apart ahead of the pay-per-view card due to the former suffering an injury.
Another high-profile bout between Robbie Lawler and Santiago Ponzinibbio has also been canceled, with Lawler suffering an injury in the build-up to the Las Vegas event.
MMA fans were also looking forward to Bo Nickal finally making his UFC debut which also failed to materialize this weekend. Nickal had to withdraw from his bout against Jamie Pickett due to injury and will now face Pickett at UFC 285 next year.

Ovince St. Preux has also faced trouble in finding a dance partner for UFC 282, with two previous opponents withdrawing from the contest in Las Vegas. St. Preux was originally meant to face Philipe Lins or Alexander Gustafsson, but will now take on Antonio Trocoli on the prelim card.
Ronnie Lawrence vs. Cameron Saaiman has also been removed from the pay-per-view event. Saaiman is now scheduled to take on Steven Koslow in what will be his UFC debut.

However, there are still some exciting bouts scheduled to take place this weekend.
Jan Błachowicz vs. Magomed Ankalaev is currently the main-event bout in Las Vegas for the vacant light heavyweight title.
How many unbeaten fighters are competing at UFC 282 this weekend?
UFC 282: Błachowicz vs. Ankalaev is set to host some exciting bouts, with five unbeaten fighters ready to throw down at the pay-per-view event.
Bryce Mitchell and Ilia Topuria will both risk their undefeated records in a featherweight contest on the main card. Mitchell currently has a record of 15-0, and Topuria has a professional record of 12-0.
Raul Rosas Jr. will be making his UFC debut and also risking his unblemished 6-0 professional MMA record. Rosas Jr. has been given a relatively easier opponent on his debut in Jay Perrin, who is winless in the UFC after fighting twice in the organization.
Moreover, somebody's '0' will have to go in an early bout between Cameron Saaiman and Steven Koslow, with both fighters 6-0 in their professional MMA careers. Both fighters would also be making their first appearances under the UFC banner.
