Fan favorite fighter Dan Hooker believes that a certain UFC star used I.V. infusions for his fight at the past weekend's pay-per-view headlined by Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski.

UFC fighters are required to refrain from I.V. shots as per the promotion's steroid policy since intravenous infusions are known to be misused to alter blood work results.

An enraged 'Hangman' went into a frenzy on Twitter, shooting out multiple accusatory posts:

"Dumb c**t thinks he can fly to Australia hire a nurse to give him an I.V and we won’t find out. Cheating dog."

However, the lightweight is yet to provide a name for the suspected culprit. And surely enough fight fans have taken it upon themselves to dig out the mystery man.

American heavyweight Parker Porter is one fighter on the fans' suspect list. Reacting to Hooker's post, Twitter user @navydawg13 asked:

"It was Parker porter wasn’t it!!"

Another user @Yankees_Heat_ felt that Hooker's rant was aimed at Makhachev. However, the netizen suggested that 'The Hangman' was merely taking revenge on Islam Makahcev for his UFC 267 loss against him.

Apart from Dan Hooker's accusations, the pay-per-view has done quite well. In fact, the live gate for UFC 284 broke the record for the highest-grossing arena event in Australia across sports, entertainment, exhibitions, etc.

Islam Makhachev reveals what he said to Alexander Volkanovski during their fight at UFC 284

It's safe to say that this past weekend's UFC main event exceeded expectations and then some. The highly competitive affair saw Islam Makhachev get the nod from all three judges.

During a post-fight press conference at the event, the Russian revealed an interesting bit of trash talk the champions engaged in during their fight.

When the duo was pressed up against the fence's during a grappling exchange, the Dagestani taunted 'The Great' by asking him to show him his new and improved wrestling:

"He [Volkanovski] told [me] work, do something but I told him hey, you grappled a lot you say? Your wrestling [and] grappling improved? Let's do something, move if you can."
