UFC 287's pre-fight press conference is set to kick-off later today, April 6, and will feature Dana White along with a host of fighters from this weekend's highly anticipated card.
UFC 287's main event pits rivals Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya against each other once again. 'Poatan' is heading into the clash as the reigning middleweight champion after defeating 'The Last Stylebender' for the belt via fifth-round TKO at UFC 281. The bout will mark the fourth contest between both competitors, with Pereira holding two wins in kickboxing and one in MMA over the Nigerian New Zealander.
Elsewhere on the card is Jorge Masvidal's highly anticipated return as he takes on high-ranked contender Gilbert Burns. The bout puts an end to 'Gamebred's year-long hiatus as he now finds himself in a must-win position following a torrid three-fight skid. The 38-year-old has also alluded to his retirement from MMA should he fail to be victorious.

Chael Sonnen offers Israel Adesanya advice ahead of UFC 287 main event
Israel Adesanya is preparing for perhaps the biggest fight of his MMA career as he takes on Alex Pereira for the second time under the UFC banner.
The Brazilian is currently the only fighter to hold a victory over Adesanya in the middleweight division, and his two other victories over the Nigerian-New Zealander in kickboxing suggests he has his number.
In an interview with The Schmo, Chael Sonnen provided some words of advice for 'The Last Stylebender'. According to Sonnen, Israel Adesanya must leave everything in the octagon at UFC 287.
'The American Gangster' stated that this fight must be the last between the two competitors, whatever the outcome, meaning they must be prepared to go to war. Sonnen said:
"I think that the number one thing that Izzy needs is he needs to burn his ships. We also need to make it clear to the fans and the fighters [that] we're not doing this [Adesanya vs. Pereira] again. I don't care if you guys have fought twice, I don't care what the score is, all the chips are in on this one. Whatever happens here, we'll all agree that this settles the dispute and we move on with life. We need that type of urgency by both athletes."
