Dariush has competed primarily at lightweight in the UFC, apart from having a couple of catchweight matchups as well. He's competed in 21 UFC fights thus far, notching a record of 16 wins, 4 losses, and 1 draw in the promotion.
Both fighters are known to be prolific finishers inside the octagon. Beneil Dariush promises to stop Charles Oliveira to earn UFC title shot

On the other hand, Beneil Dariush's most recent octagon outing featured him defeating Mateusz Gamrot via unanimous decision in October 2022.
In a recent interview with Submission Radio, Beneil Dariush asserted that a fight between him and Charles Oliveira is indeed in the works. 'Benny,' who's on an impressive eight-fight win streak, suggested that he's excited to fight 'Do Bronx.' Moreover, he promised to finish Oliveira and secure a UFC lightweight title shot. Dariush stated:
“I think I’m gonna get the finish in either the first or the second round. That’s how I think in my mind. I’m going to just be who I am, and then when he gets excited, I’ll get excited, and then it’ll turn into a crazy fight like everybody is talking about.”
