UFC 304 is set to rock the Co-op Live arena in Manchester, England, with an action-packed lineup of fights this weekend. This highly anticipated event marks the MMA promotion's return to the 'Rainy City' for the first time since UFC 204 in October 2016, a night when then-middleweight champion Michael Bisping successfully defended his title against Dan Henderson.

In the main event, Leon Edwards will defend his welterweight championship against former adversary Belal Muhammad. The eighth pay-per-view of 2024 will see the 32-year-old Jamaican-born Englishman making his third title defense. Meanwhile, Muhammad is preparing for his first-ever title fight.

The two fighters first clashed at a UFC Fight Night event in March 2021. Unfortunately, an eye poke in the second round forced 'Remember the Name' to withdraw, leading to the bout being declared a no contest.

'Rocky' is on an impressive 13-fight unbeaten streak, highlighted by a dominant unanimous decision victory over former interim titleholder Colby Covington at UFC 296 last December. He captured the welterweight title with a stunning fifth-round knockout of Kamaru Usman at UFC 278 in August 2022. Additionally, Edwards has triumphed over high-caliber opponents such as Donald Cerrone, Rafael dos Anjos, and Nate Diaz.

Meanwhile, Muhammad is riding high on a 10-fight unbeaten streak. He is making his return more than a year on from his short-notice unanimous decision win against Gilbert Burns at UFC 288 in May 2023. 'Remember the Name' has ardently campaigned for a title shot for quite some time. Throughout his run, Muhammad has defeated notable opponents such as Vicente Luque, Sean Brady, and Stephen Thompson.

In the co-main event of UFC 304, interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall will put his title on the line in a highly anticipated rematch against top-tier contender Curtis Blaydes.

Blaydes achieved a TKO victory over Aspinall in their initial meeting two years ago during the main event of UFC London in July 2022. The bout ended abruptly just 15 seconds in when the Brit suffered an unexpected knee injury.

Aspinall is coming off a short-notice, first-round knockout victory over Sergei Pavlovich to clinch the interim belt at UFC 295 last November. Aside from his setback against Blaydes, the 31-year-old Englishman boasts seven victories in the octagon, including six first-round finishes against notable opponents such as Alexander Volkov and Marcin Tybura.

On the other hand, 'Razor' is riding high after a second-round TKO victory over Jailton Almeida at UFC 299 this past March, bouncing back from a KO loss to Pavlovich in April 2023. Blaydes has been a constant fixture in the heavyweight division for quite some time but has struggled to fully capitalize on his potential and make a lasting impact over the years.

The UFC has assembled an impressive lineup of fights for UFC 304, showcasing a dynamic mix of seasoned veterans and exciting up-and-coming prospects from the European MMA scene.

A crucial element of an electrifying fight card is the fighter entrances. These moments dramatically heighten the atmosphere before each bout, playing a pivotal role in captivating the audience and setting the stage for the intense action to follow.
