MMA judge Howie Booth finds himself in a controversy following his scorecard for one of the fights at UFC 305. Booth was one of the three judges for the Tai Tuivasa vs. Jairzinho Rozenstruik clash on the main card of UFC 305, which took place on Aug. 18.
The fight went the 15-minute distance and ended in a split-decision victory for 'Bigi Boy'. The three judges scored the bout 29-28, 27-30 and 30-27 in favor of Rozenstruik.
One scorecard that stood out was that by Booth, who scored the fight 30-27 in favor of Tuivasa. The scorecard came as a surprise as 'Bam Bam's' output was quite low in the fight.
MMA journalist Kevin Iole then reported that the MMA judge had been relieved of his duties for the rest of the fight card.

"Howie Booth, who had Tuivasa winning 3-0, was scheduled to work co-main event between Kara-France and Erceg, but I have been told he has been PULLED from the fight. He's done for the night."

Later, Jon Anik confirmed the news during the UFC 305 broadcast that Booth had indeed been removed from the judging panel for the night.
According to MMA journalist Luke Thomas, Booth will be replaced by Ben Cartlidge for the UFC 305 co-main event between Kai Kara-France and Steve Erceg.
Booth's scorecard did not go down well with the MMA community, who took to social media to criticize him.
A fan called for the judge to be fired from his duties.
"Fire Howie Booth into the sun!"
Another labeled it the "worst scorecard" they had ever witnessed in an MMA fight.
"30-27 Tai is genuinely the worst scorecard I've ever seen."
Another person argued that an explanation should be demanded from the MMA judge for the scorecard.
"Howie needs to explain himself. Tai had 23 significant strikes over the entire fight!"
Several people, including Derek Brunson, made memes poking fun at Booth.
